For a coffee with a view, head to Claythorpe Watermill. This lovely family-run café is located within an 18th century watermill, just on the outskirts of Alford.

Open for breakfast, lunch and light snacks, the Watermill is a hugely popular spot with walkers and cyclists. Visit on a sunny day and you can relax by the water with a glass of wine, or grab an ice cream to go.

Alford Market

Alford has been hosting a market since 1283, and it is still a weekly tradition in the town. Taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays, this local market is a great place to pick up some Lincolnshire produce.

You can peruse stalls full of fresh bread, meat, fruit and veg, and even meet the makers and producers behind the goods.
