Food & drink in the Lincolnshire Wolds
You’ll find some of the county’s finest food and drink in the Lincolnshire Wolds. As you explore this beautiful stretch of countryside, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to whet your appetite and quench your thirst.
Lincolnshire has long been at the forefront of agriculture and farming, producing one eighth of the UK’s food, and processing 70% of its fish. As a county, we grow the finest crops of barley, wheat, oilseed rape and sugar beet – and one of the UK’s biggest fish markets is situated along our coast.
Of course, it goes without saying that the humble Lincolnshire sausage is a staple on almost every menu, but that’s not all we’re famous for! There are makers and producers dotted across the Wolds, many of which still use traditional methods for their craft.
With so many great cafés, restaurants and pubs, you will have plenty of opportunities to sample the goods. Whether you’re sipping on a Lincolnshire ale, sampling a slice of plum bread, or indulging in some locally made cheese, the tastes of the county are everywhere.
Explore the many market towns in the Wolds and you will find independent shops proudly showcasing the finest local produce. With weekly markets, family-run businesses and traditional delicatessens, you'll find countless opportunities to taste our delicious exports.
Whether you’re looking for a hearty homecooked meal, a unique dining experience, or just a good pint, there is something for everyone in the Lincolnshire Wolds.
