Start to explore the array of beautiful locations in the Lincolnshire Wolds and you'll inevitably come across Tealby. Thought to be one of the most picturesque villages in the region, Tealby is also home to The King's Head, the county's oldest thatched pub.

Dating back to 1367, The King’s Head still boasts many of its original features and is packed with rustic charm. Loved by locals, this pub is best known for its homecooked food and real ales. As this welcoming pub is conveniently located on the Viking Way, it is a popular stop-off for walkers and cyclists wanting to warm up in the cosy lounge, or relax in the beer garden.

The Viking Way walking route that runs through the Wolds is your golden ticket to scenic beauty. Stretching for 149-miles, this popular route has many inviting pubs along the way. Visit during the summer and you can embrace sunny days relaxing with a glass of wine, or a refreshing pint, in one of the many beer gardens en-route.

Just a few miles east of the Viking Way, The Blacksmith’s Arms in Rothwell has one of the largest beer gardens in the Wolds, whilst The Bluebell Inn in Belchford has a lovely alfresco area to enjoy.
