In the town centre, the award-winning Advocate Arms is a favourite haunt of both locals and visitors. Offering a diverse fine dining menu, the chefs here are famed for their innovative creations, and use only the finest Lincolnshire produce in their dishes.
Just across the market place, you will also find the Aston Arms. Written into Lincolnshire legend, it is though that this pub was the subject of Elton John’s hit song 'Saturday Night's Alright'. Songwriter Bernie Taupin, who grew up in the area, apparently based the lyrics on his experiences at the pub in the 1970s.
