Where is the Lincolnshire Wolds?
The Lincolnshire Wolds is situated in the heart of Lincolnshire, in the East Midlands. Just under 10 miles from the shores of the East Coast, this beautiful area lies between Grimsby to the north and Boston to the south. With Lincoln located less than 20 miles to the west, the Lincolnshire Wolds is easily accessible from the city, making it a convenient destination for visitors looking to explore its scenic beauty and outdoor activities.
By road
Well connected to major cities in the East Midlands, getting to the Lincolnshire Wolds by car can be easy and convenient. From Lincoln, simply head northeast on the A158 through Wragby, then follow the A158 to reach the charming villages nestled within the Wolds. If you’re traveling from Nottingham, simply take the A46 through Newark to Lincoln. The Lincolnshire Wolds isn’t too far from the A1, so travel is convenient from the South or North of the country.

Market Rasen train station is the primary station serving the Lincolnshire Wolds. The line is run by East Midlands Railway (EMR), with frequent trains operating daily between Lincoln and Cleethorpes.
